BMW I3

The all-electric, zero emission BMW i3 has won the acclaimed 2015 Green Car of the Year Award at the on-going Los Angeles Auto Show 2014 (open for public from 21 to 30 November). The award was presented by Green Car Journal. Powering the i3 is a 170 hp electric motor which hums 250 Nm of max torque starting from 0 rpm! It offers a range close to 160 km and with the optional range extender it features 300 km range, courtesy to a 650 cc engine.
NISSAN LEAF

Nissan unveiled the 2018 Leaf facelift on September 6, 2017, in Tokyo.The pre-facelift Leaf was launched back in 2010 and since then, the Leaf has managed to sell more than 2.8 lakh units globally.
The 2018 facelifted Nissan Leaf offers autonomous technology and higher driving range compared to its predecessor and is based on Nissan's new design language. the new Nissan Leaf gets improved battery life as well. The car's 40 kWh battery can take the Nissan Leaf up to 400 km on a single charge, with a power output of 148 bhp and a torque of 320 Nm. Charging time is from 8 hours to 16 hours depending on the power capacity and the Leaf also get quick charging feature which can give 80 per cent battery time in 40 minutes. Tesla Model 3, with two battery options of 50 kWh and 75 kWh, has a claimed range of around 350kms-500kms on a single charge.

Renault Zoe is an upcoming electric hatchback which is expected to be priced around Rs.8,00,000. The new Renault Zoe will be powered by an electric motor generating the maximum power output of 80 hp in combination with the maximum torque of 222 Nm. The length of the Zoe is measured as 4084 mm with 338 litres boot space which looks really stylish and royal. The car features an attractive piece of design with a full width grille and LED lights enhancing the appearance of the vehicle. The braking of the vehicle is appreciable with disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear ensuring better braking efficiency. Likewise, the vehicle is easy to handle with the MacPherson type front suspension and Torsion beam coil spring rear suspension which is quite good. The side profile of the Zoe is fitted with the 19 inches of wheels. TESLA MODEL 3

Tesla's CEO Elon Musk has announced that the Model 3 has passed all regulatory requirements for production and the serial number 1 sedan will be ready to roll out of the assembly line on July 07, 2017. Tesla also announced that its deliveries will begin from July 28.
In April 2016, Tesla made world premiere of a near-production prototype of the Model 3. Elon Musk assured during its reveal that the base variant of the Model 3 will start around $35,000 (nearly INR 22 Lakhs). It will also have the Model S/X’s Ludicrous mode and will be equipped with full self-driving hardware. Its final production-spec model, features and specifications will be revealed in coming days.
TATA TIAGO ELECTRIC
(expected price : RS 8 lakh - 10 lakh )
It has Been a While Since Tata Motors is Working on all-Electric Vehicles .tata has showcased the Tiago EV concept at an event at Millbrook. Tata has claimed the Tiago EV will accelerate from 0-100 kph in about 11 seconds in sport mode and is capable of a top speed of 135 kph. The all-electric variant of the Tiago uses an 85 kW motor that churns out 200 Nm of torque. The EV is offered with front wheel drive and does not have a gearbox as we know it and like all electric vehicles will be driven through a single-speed gearbox. It will also deliver a claimed range of 100 km on one full electric charge.
